When I was a child growing up in Sunday School, I loved hearing Bible stories. I was fascinated by characters like David and Gideon, and by Jesus and his miracles. How on earth did he manage to feed all those people with just a small portion of bread and fish? And what must it have been like for him to walk on water?

Two are better than one.
A few years back, I had the blessing of attending 3 weddings – 2 in the usual way, and one by tuning in to a special broadcast over the internet. I noted that all 3 services had some similarities, but some differences. This may have had something to do with the fact that while one couple are both Christians who seek to put Jesus at the centre of their lives, the other 2 couples don’t profess any faith that I’m aware of.

Learning From Naomi By Sarah Tummey.
Naomi’s family lived in Moab for roughly a decade. During a famine, they left Israel in favour of a place where there was food. Her husband died, but she watched her sons settle down and marry. Then they also died, leaving Naomi with just her daughters-in-law.
